Since it’s inception One World DMG has grown to become one of the most respected medical education and communication companies in the world. The company was founded in 1984 by Fred Pether, a Marketing Manager working at pharmaceutical companies in both the US and Europe. Fred saw the need for a very different type of marketing company – one that would provide medically relevant educational solutions, with a new business model focused on physician training and patient education. While it might be easy to see the value of patient-centric initiatives now, back in the 1980’s it was common practice to give a physician a pen or a golf ball with a brand imprint on it. Fred’s vision for his new company was an inspired and much needed change.
